One thing I wanted to share is to let everyone know that if you are looking for safe skin & body products, Ava Anderson Non-toxic is a company that is based on producing products without harmful ingredients. They can be found on the cosmetics database showing a score of only 0 - 1. Check out our website at www.avaandersonnontoxic/kathleenforava. While some "natural" brands have safe & unsafe products in their line, what I like about Ava Anderson is that all their products are safe to use. If you're interested in switching over to non-toxic products, email me at kathleenforava@gmail.com for more info. Thanks, Kathleen

Re: 10 Must Have Eco-Friendly Green Products

Thanks for information, I'll always keep updated here!

Re: 10 Must Have Eco-Friendly Green Products

Whip sounds ok but the prices on their site are quite expensive, last year some local Phoenix carpet cleaners did a shampoo job on my whole house for half that price. And the carpets still look brand new!

Re: 10 Must Have Eco-Friendly Green Products

I am probably the single biggest critic regarding household cleaners claiming to be "green" & stating all kinds of results, but none have the ability to live up to hard stain removal like a product I recently purchased called Whip-It Earth Friendly Miracle Cleaner http://trywhipit.com by Whip It Inventions.
I had my doubts about this product for the use of the following two words together..."Miracle Cleaner http://trywhipit.com ." I mean seriously, are we overpromising? So, I took the liberty to take this on and put this product to the true test. I went ahead and spilled wine, chocolate sauce, magic marker, mustard and ink on a pair of old khaki pants to see if this "miracle" solution really works. I have to say that this product is fantastic and by far the best i have seen in the "green/natural" category. From the point of contact from the solution hitting the stains, you could actually see solution breaking down the stains immediately. On the website, the pitchman shows a demonstration which is pretty impressive, but I had to try it myself. On the website (trywhipit.com http://trywhipit.com ) there is a video of the cleaner knocking out some serious stains in just a few strokes, including spray paint out of carpet. I couldn't resist the temptation to see if this could actually remove such a hard stain like spray paint. I went to the garage and took a can of Rustolium Red Enamel and sprayed it on a piece of light beige carpet. I let the paint dry, and I waited a few minutes before I conducted the test. After spraying Whip-It on the carpet, it took only a few strokes using a light kitchen brush and the stains were vanished. I then took used motor oil, mustard and chocolate syrup, and again it removed the stains. What I found to be most impressive is that this cleaner claims to be completely non-toxic cleaner http://trywhipit.com and the MSDS sheet on their website backs this up. Its smells different than all of the other green cleaners I have smelled; it has a refreshing eucalyptus scent.
Ok, there are two main websites to purchase this cleaner. One has a great offer, the other is retails the product for almost twice as much. Trywhipit.com http://Trywhipit.com is offering a $19.95 package (which includes a 32 oz bottle of concentrate, a professional sprayer and two kitchen Original Shammys) and the corporate site (amazingwhipit.com http://amazingwhipit.com <http: amazingwhipit.com=""> ) costs about twice as much for a 32 oz bottle concentrate at $38 . Stick with trywhipit.com <http: trywhipit.com=""> <http: trywhipit.com=""> .
Happy Cleaning Everyone!

Re: 10 Must Have Eco-Friendly Green Products

Great list!
